Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Must-Have AUDS

Since I have a long commute by train and bus to work in the morning and a long one in the evening, I spend alot of time with my headphones on. My meager little mp3 player can hold about 3 full shows of 64 kbs mp3s and since the AUD shows here are free-reign, there's nothing I love more than having some great shows to listen to. This brings me to my question; what are some essential AUD recordings here on the archive that I should be listening to?

Check out the Rochester War Memorial 1980 show. I just got it and it is an outstanding AUD. Shoreline '90 material also great. Usually anything recorded out of doors is pretty fine. I even like the noisy, brackish Watkins Glen recording. It totally takes me there. My advice is to not take my advice and to explore a bit on your own. that's what i've been doing and the rewards are plenty!

Spring Tour 1976 also holds many wonderful surprises.

11 29 80 is a pretty good place to start.

yeah, that looks real familiar - the aud thingy must be archived (watching House, so don't have time to poke) - thanks for the reminder of that great site my friend - nice recall!!!

I've been listening to this 2nd set here on the archive lately. It's real nice, and CM calls this Morning Dew the best he's ever heard. And i'm quite certain he's listened to more than a few versions:
